The Northwest Solar Coop provides the collective
sales of RECs (Greentags) for hundreds of members
across the northwest. Established in 2002 by Doug
Boleyn of Cascade Solar Consulting, the Northwest
Solar Coop has continued to pay for RECs created by
small PV systems which are "grid-tied" to local utility

We are a 501(c)(3) membership-based, non-profit, educational organization with over 20 years of
history supporting solar energy throughout the state. Solar Oregon is the Oregon state chapter for the
American Solar Energy Society, and a founding member of Earth Share of Oregon, a workplace giving
organization.
